Split custody can work

To Karen + Jackie Split custody can work. Don’t take it out on the child!

Back in April my friends Karen, Andrew and I attended the launch for Brian Joseph Davis‘s Ronald Reagan My Father. I don’t know if it was the multimedia laptop production in lieu of reading or the free beer, but Karen and I were charmed and decided we must support this book. Unfortunately, Karen and I were broke, so we had to share one book between the two of us. In our haste to find a cheap sandwich after the launch, we never worked out a visitation schedule. The book went home in Karen’s purse and, like a deadbeat, I completely forgot it ever existed.

BUT…(this story has a happy ending!) Karen arrived in Montreal today to spend some time on my couch and I’ve been reunited with the book!

I’m sorry you wasted your time reading this pointless post about a book I can’t review because I haven’t even read it yet, but I can tell you a few things about it so that you can share in my excitement:

  1. Karen says it’s awesome, and Karen has excellent taste.
  2. Quill & Quire liked it too, if that means more to you than Karen’s opinion (it shouldn’t).
  3. It has an amazing cover.

(I wish I could show you Nancy on the back, but I can’t find a photo of it online and photobooth doesn’t do it justice.)

Please forgive me for this self-indulgent post. I’ll try to make it up to you tomorrow with a new poem of the week!

My apologies for the omission! You didn’t buy a book so I felt you were irrelevant to the story, but I will edit you in now…

    Yay!

I liked carrying this book around because everyone thought I was reading a book about Reagan.

I also like what you said about my taste. You have excellent judgement.
